Thomas did a great job. Searching for another company to do my total door replacement.

Super unhappy with my experience. I had a broken spring that needed replaced. The person that responded to the call only tried to sell me a whole new garage door for the cost of over $3,000. I kept asking if I could just get the spring replaced in the meantime so I could use the door and he kept pushing the whole replacement telling me that one spring would cost $600. I paid the service call and sent him on his way. I was able to call another company that came out within the hour and placed both springs and both cables that were slightly frayed for $300. I didn’t like the pushy sales tactic at all.

The guy came out and didn’t do anything that was worth 77.07 for. We told him that everything worked until we change out the outside button control and he was wanting us to replace the whole unit. We only replaced it because the button was wore out.

We are sorry that you are displeased with our service today. Our technician inspected your door and operator in order to identify the condition and reliable operation of both. During that inspection he observed the age and condition of the operator which resulted in a recommendation to replace the operator. His inspection also revealed worn out rollers and damage to the torsion tube from previous repair work, indicating the operator has worked beyond its capacity for a while. Our repair recommendations are based on company best practices and in the best interest of our customers. Thank you.

Were informed today of a repair they recommended related to the install of our garage door that was done about 5 years ago. Precision has been out multiple times to service our garage door since the install and I had pointed out the item on a couple of occasions and was told it wasn’t a problem. Now it suddenly is to the tune of $600+. And I can promise nothing has changed related to said item in recent years. Either a case of very poor inspections in the past or a cash grab now. Either way we are done being long-time loyal customers of Precision and will be passing along our experience to our neighborhood Facebook page of 1,000 people.

I write few reviews but this company was so dishonest that it is necessary to document it. I called them as my double garage door was malfunctioning. About 50% of the time, it would stop when closing, like something was triggering the laser beam sensor. This had been going on for a month. I figured the laser needed servicing, as it had been somewhat problematic for years. Ethan and his supervisor arrived in early October 2023. They checked the double garage door and declared the entire door (door, springs, and motor) needed replacing. The reasoning was very nebulous at best. They said the track was at a severe slant. The springs and rollers were worn out. And the motor, “well you can never tell with motors and it might as well be replaced as well.” They went on to say that we should replace the single garage door at the same time as it would not match. Both doors are 7 years old. The double door motor is 3 years old. The springs on the double door were replaced two years ago. The single garage door is only used every few weeks as we do not park a vehicle on that side. The estimate was a whopping $11,000 and they wanted to replace the perfectly functioning single door!!! I was not home when they told my wife all of this. She thought it was patently untrue and they were trying to take us, especially considering much of the equipment is only a few years old. I measured the angle of the track with a level which proved it was nearly perfect (picture attached). Given how fuzzy everything sounded, we decided to get a second opinion. We then called Coney garage door, who sold us the doors when we built the house. They said the laser sensor wire had indeed become partially disconnected, causing the door to malfunction. They said the rollers were worn, but not worn out and offered to replace all of them for $12 ($1/roller). They tightened the chain, replaced the rollers, and repaired the sensors. The total bill was $225. This company is terribly dishonest and will absolutely sell you things you do not need. They tried to defraud us out of $10,775. Call somebody else!

Although the video on their website states that their technicians carry several different springs on their trucks, they do not carry ANY extension springs on them. I explained when I scheduled the appointment that I had a broken extension spring. Now I’ve wasted a day off from work and will have to re-schedule. They can’t come back the same day and fix it. No thanks!! I called a competitor of theirs and they will fix the problem for $170 instead of the $370 quoted by Precision.

My two car garage door buckled in the middle due to age/stress. Called Precision Garage Door. They came out on Wednesday (May 30th). Technician Alex was absolutely great. Polite, courteous, competent. Liberated two cars from the garage. Went through the process of selecting a new garage door, Alex confirmed the desired door was on stock and available. I paid half of the $2,000+ purchase/installation price to reserve the door. Was told I would be called in the next day or two to confirm installation date and time. Phoned Precision Garage Door on Monday (June 4th) to see when they would schedule an appointment to install my door. Manager too busy to talk with me. Lady who answers the phone says the manager would call or email me with the appointment date later in the day. Phoned Precision Garage Door on Tuesday (June 5th). Explained the past six days of conversations and asked when Precision Garage Door would give me an installation date. While attending to my elderly father at his residence I received an email from Precision Garage Door stating my door was scheduled to be installed between 2 and 4 pm today. Left my dad to return home to let the technician into the house. Called Precision Garage Door after 5pm asking if the technician was still coming today. Lady explains the system sends me an installation email when the manager asked the technician to check on the status of the garage door the technician had already checked on and reserved six days ago. June 6: It’s been a full week, no installation date, and no contact from management. Superb technicians, totally jackleg management…

Probably the worst service experience ever. Technician was a nice young man, but didn't have the skill or spare parts to repair my opener. Supervisor James reported that 2 hours labor would be required to change the trolley mechanism, and owner Steve said it was sending good money after bad to repair the unit. Recommended replacement with new. Harmon Overhead Door replaced the trolley mechanism the next day, serviced and lubed both doors, and charged $50 for the part, and took about 30 minutes labor. Not the 2 hours reported by James. Will call Harmon first next time.

I scheduled an appointment on line for 12-2, the technician calls at 10:22 am and says he will will be there in 10 minutes. I scheduled from 12-2 for a reason, so I had to drop what I was doing and rush home to meet him, which I didn't appreciate, that was my reason for scheduling from 12-2, after arriving and speaking to the tech, he stated he couldn't repair the broken spring due my doors were installed incorrectly, which have been working fine for the 15 years we have lived here, he stated that new doors would work so much better, we have had no issue we these doors until the spring broke. As a service tech myself, when I stared asking questions about the repairs, he was trying to give me some indirect answers, he also told me to change the broken spring, he would have disassemble the other door, when I ask why, he told me if he just removed the bar and pulleys it would put to much pressure on the track, which would have no more pressure on it after removal than it does before the removal. He thought by pricing the repair high enough that I would agree to the replacement. If I was not mechanical and a technician I would just went for the replacement on his recommendation. It's sad that he was only interested in selling me a new set of doors. Needless to say I paid him the service call and sent him on his way. I do not recommend this company to anyone
