The repair person spent more time attempting to up-sale me on other items that he suggested need repairing rather than focusing on the requested repair (replace door spring) therefore I declined the repair.

I recently purchased a home and I noticed the garage door was jumping when opening or closing. Collin came out and thoroughly checked everything on the door the unfortunate news was that the door had several areas that were damaged and due to improper installation it was hitting the house when opening and closing. Collin was very knowledgeable and was able to explain everything very well. He was willing to do whatever repairs I wanted but was honest with me that even with a repair the damage would happen again due to the installation. If you need a company that will be open and honest with you these are your people. I appreciate Collin being so thorough and we will be using Precision for all our garage door needs from now on.

My first call was to a same day service I was told it would be 5 days before they could check it out. So I called PRECISION they could be here between 4:00 and 6:00 ( same day).Tony called around 3:00 and was on his way. He quickly assessed my problem , my 27 year old opener needed replaced. The price was about what I expected. So Tony went to work and with no wasted motion replaced my opener and rail. He had everything he needed on his truck, and in no time I had a modern up to date opener that I’m very happy with and if I have any more problems I’ll call PRÉCISION first.

Garage door seals were poorly made, & not a match to the track based seals OEM they replaced. One of the seals isn't mounted correctly, & looks terrible!!!

One thing was also true, that is, all persons involved were really proud to be a part of the company. I am very disappointed with Precision Door Service. We had a representative (T. G.) come out for a service call. He was very nice, but it seemed like they were trying to up-sale instead of help us. We paid a $75 service call visit and T. G. was not able to fix our door. He said that we needed a whole new garage door. Our spring was broken, a track was bent and none of our panels were damaged. We were quoted $3K and that the parts would be ordered and in 2-4 weeks. We were charged $268 total for the visit instead of the $75 service call. The tech did not fix our door, but did get the door closed. We called another local company to give us a second estimate because we did not think we needed another door. The other company came out the day of call, replaced the broken spring and new cables and tapped out the bent rail. We had the door repaired and working smoothly at the time of the initial service call. They charged us $482.90 vs $3268 we would have paid with Precision. I don't think I've ever written a bad review, but this could have cost us thousands more than it should have. I also don't know why we were charged $268 for the service call when no work was done (except closing the garage door) when we were quoted $75.

Wednesday April 30th, had a little incident with my garage at 11:30. I called Precision and they sat me up on Thursday with a technician. At 8: 30 he showed up and not only told me what was wrong with my garage door he showed me. Gave me a detailed estimate and what needed to be done so I told them to do it. I was fortunate enough that they had what I needed to replace everything so they had a installer come out on Friday morning and was done in 2 hours. When he got thru he showed me how everything worked and what he had done. The gentleman was very professional, courtesy and kind. Done an excellent job. I was very pleased with the whole transaction. Main spring broke last night after hours. I called Precision and the phone was immediately answered by a very nice lady. She listened to my story and booked an appointment for me this morning. The technician was actually early, called to make sure it was OK to come. He got right to work. He seemed to be very nice, extremely knowledgeable and very competent. He fixed the problem quickly and even spotted a few other problems that needed attention. I have used this company before and this experience was very consistent with my previous opinion. I will always use them for any garage door work in the future. They do great work!
